The Ferguson Essays Part I: The Prosecution and Race
Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin, the linking of the two incidents was bound to happen. For many people, many of them African-Americans, it was inevitable. The events that happened on August 9th 2014, were going to be examined through the lens of Trayvon Martin's murder by George Zimmerman. How the prosecution in setting the entire grand jury process and witnesses could ignore that is shocking and puzzling.
The Ferguson Essays
I wish this had been handled better buy the prosecution, the government and the police so that the ugliness that happen on Tuesday didn't overshadow all the important questions that deserved to be asked and pondered upon in the aftermath of this tragedy. I will examine some of those questions in the upcoming three or four essays, so bear with me and be patient.
Most importantly, I offer my sincere condolences to the Brown family, who has behaved with extreme grace and dignity and has risen above the anger and the hatred that this situation has brought upon many people. I hope that they continue to be strong and that their efforts to bring forth change from the death of their son are fruitful.

Midterm Election 2014, Two Weeks Later.
How?
How, would summarize my thoughts after seeing the results and the terrible performance by the democrats. Yes, these were midterms during an incumbent President's last half of his second term. The congressional map has been gerrymandered by republicans for at least the next 10 years, but how does one explain the loss of the Senate and the loss of even more gubernatorial seats and state legislatures?

Vote Today!
Today is Election day here in the good Ol' USA. People will be heading to the polls today to vote for their Governors, Senators and House Representatives. I know that the youth tend to disregard these election but they matter. Because unlike the Presidential election were swing state voters matter more, in the midterms all votes matter the same and they all count the same. So if you are young, head to the polls today and make your voice heard.
I encourage y'all (Texas life) to vote Donkey Blue! I may also resurect my blog to discuss what this election means for everyone, the rest of the President's term and excintigly the Presidential election of 2016, which starts today.
